ETIKA PERGAULAN MUDA – MUDI (CINTA, PACARAN, DAN SEX: Dalam Terang Firman TUHAN)

Program studi Kimia Untrib Kalabahi

STUDY ON CHEMICAL COMPONENT AND COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH OF PORTLAND COMPOSITE CEMENT USING LIMESTONE ADDITIVE

Loth Botahala and Herianus Manimoy

Indonesia Chimica Acta 7 (1), 19-22

Abstract:

The study aims to determine the characteristics and compressive strength of Portland Composite Cement with limestone as an additive. The method of analysis chemically used was X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) and mechanically through the physical test compressive strength. The results of the research indicated that the Portland Composite Cement containing components CaO and SO3 is high (70.96% and 4.81%). Besides, Al2O3 was not found in the cement. Whereas the results of the compressive strength test descending for 3 days (33,86%), 7 days (45,60 %), 28 days (21,10%) from SNI minimum standard.

Jurnal Akta Kimia Indonesia (Indonesia Chimica Acta) 12 (1), 19-28

Abstract

The effectiveness of the absorption of activated rice husk and hazelnut shells on the purification of used cooking oil has been carried out. The aim is to determine the absorption capacity of the active charcoal of rice husk and hazelnut shells to purify used cooking oil. After being physically activated, activated charcoal from rice husk and pecan shells is applied to the purification of used cooking oil. The results show that the quality of hazelnut shell charcoal is better than rice husk after it is applied to purifying used cooking oil.

VARIATION OF CONTACT TIME OF THE CANDLENUT SHELL CHARCOAL PURIFICATION PROCESS USED COOKING OIL

Loth Botahala, Nahor Padalowa, Maksimus Kaben

Indonesia Chimica Acta 9 (2), 15-19

Abstract:

Research on the variation of contact time of the candlenut shell charcoal purification process used cooking oil has been done. This research aims to determine the ability of candlenut shells in used cooking oil purification. The time variation used is 30, 40, 50, and 60 minutes. The results showed that the activation results candlenut shell charcoal meet SNI 06-3730-1995, while the results of purification used cooking oil at a time of 60 minutes can result in a reduction in free fatty acids amounting to 98.0 %, a reduction of 85.6% peroxide grade, and reduction in water content of 72.1 % of the samples tested. Results purification used cooking oil is in compliance with the maximum standards of quality cooking oil that net in SNI 01-3741-1995.

Effect Of The Contact Time Of Candlenut Shell Charcoal And H3PO4 Activator As On The Purification Process Of Used Cooking Oil

Yustina Bapa and Loth Botahala
Jurnal Akta Kimia Indonesia (Indonesia Chimica Acta) 12 (2), 104-110

Abstract

Research on Comparison of the Contact Time of Candlenut Charcoal with H3PO4 Activator in the Process of Purifying Used Cooking Oil has been conducted. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability of candlenut shells activated with H3PO4 against purifying used cooking oil. The variation of the number of candlenut shells used is 1 gram, 2 grams, and 3 grams and the variation of contact time is 10 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes. The results showed that the activation of hazelnut shell using H3PO4 fulfills SNI 16-3730-1995, while the results of used cooking oil purification with 2 grams of activated charcoal in 60 minutes resulted in a decrease in peroxide number of 64.58% and free fatty acids of 54, 84%.
